Westland, Michigan

The location of Historic Nankin Mills was originally a crossroads for Native American Trails. Eventually, Nankin became a township, which, in 1966, become the City of Westland.

Today, the community boasts 17 parks and hosts Blues, Brews and Barbecue – an annual celebration filled with great blues, excellent BBQ, and ice-cold domestic drafts.

On nice summer days, the Populist team likes to take a break at the sprawling Central City Park.
