January 2024 marks the 44th anniversary of Populist Cleaning Co. As we reflect on 44 years of progress, development, and growth, we can’t help but be filled with pride at the accomplishments of everyone on our hardworking team.

Back in 1980, our founders, Dan Eller and John Wagner, took a leap of faith. They traded in their artistic background for an entrepreneurial adventure, building something far bigger than just a cleaning company.

“Populist” isn’t just a name, it’s a mission. We believe in providing opportunities for hardworking people to support themselves and their families. This idea along with our core values: commitment, hard work, individual responsibility, respect, and professionalism, have guided us from the very beginning. As John Wagner, co-owner, says, “Mike Eller has poured his heart and soul into Populist. He’s shown unwavering leadership, and under his guidance, our family business has grown into a network of nearly 300 employees, customers, and vendors.”

Today’s world throws challenges at every turn, but one thing remains constant: the soul of Populist Cleaning Co. We may be a cleaning company, but at our core, we’re a people company. That’s who we are, and that’s who we’ll always be.

We strive every day to make Populist a good place to work, and to appreciate everyone on our team. You perform a very important role in the facilities for which we are responsible, impacting the lives of thousands of people every day.
